jOpenIT is Java-Swing port of the popular PHP OpenIT information systems management application. The purpose of jOpenIT is to provide a Java-Swing user interface for the OpenIT database. jOpenIT runs on top of the current OpenIT 2.2 database structure so the PHP and Java versions can be run concurrently on two web servers (a PHP web server and a Java servlet server) using the same data-source. jOpenIT is a full featured Java based client / server application that uses Java servlet/applet architecture under the jRivet Java framework.NOTE: JOpenIT is licensed and distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) and GNU Library or Lesser General Public License (LGPL).
