transmac is a windows program that can copy files to and from macintosh disks. most disk types supported by transmac include hard drives, cd-rom, diskettes and most removable media.note for vista users: due to vistas extra security, even users with administrator access may find that transmac does not show some disks (specifically fixed disks) because accessing fixed disks requires a higher privilege level. transmac can be run with elevated privileges either temporarily by right-clicking on the program icon and selecting "run as administrator" or always by selecting "properties" and ticking "run this program as an administrator" under the "compatibility" tab.
