Scid (Shane's Chess Information Database) is an open source, cross-platform and free graphical application written in C++ around the Tcl/Tk toolkit for providing a chess database application that features numerous database and search maintenance functions.When using the Scid application, users will be able to maintain an entire collection of chess games, view graphical trends, search games, as well as to produce printable reports on openings and players.In addition, Scid lets users to analyze games using a UCI or Xboard compatible chess software, study chess endings, and play online on FICS (Free Internet Chess Server).
