This is the portable version of XnConvert - an application that allows you to easily change the format of your image files to others, such as JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF and PNG.Sine installation is not necessary, you can place XnConvert Portable on an external device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. More importantly, the Windows registry entries will remain intact.The interface of the software is plain and simple. Image files can be imported into the list by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is allowed.In the list you can check out various information on each file, such as name, size, date of creation and last modification, EXIF data, properties, print size, rating and type. Once you establish the output destination and file type, you can proceed with the conversion task.Additionally, you can make image adjustments (e.g. mask, crop, mirror, resize, rotate, watermark), apply filters (e.g. blur, sharpen, soften, reduce noise) and others. But you can also preview clips and zoom in and out, enable XnConvert Portable to preserve the metadata, convert all pages from a multipage files and to delete original pictures, and others.The image processing tool takes up a moderate amount of system resources, supports multiple languages for the interface, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image quality after conversion. We haven't come across any issues during our testing. Unfortunately, there is no help file available and the interface needs some improvements.
