Screen Capture for Chrome is a handy extension that helps individuals, as the name hints at, capture custom parts of the screen and save them to the hard drive. This app comes in a CRX file format and, in order to start using it, all you have to do is drag and drop it to the extensions tab (Chrome> Settings> Extensions). You can capture screenshots in two different formats, namely JPG and PNG. It is recommended that you use the second, as the quality of the resulted images is going to be higher.There are multiple types of screenshots you can choose from in the settings panel, including capturing page regions, visible content, whole pages and screen regions. Whichever you choose, you should know the default folder is “My Pictures”, and it can be easily changed.
