Gearman is a system to farm out work to other machines, dispatching function calls to machines that are better suited to do work, to load balance lots of function calls, to do work in parallel, or to call functions between languages.The Server* gearmand -- the server daemon. The bridge between workers (clients who can do work) and callers (clients who want work done). You should run several of these (at least two) for both load balancing and high availability.Language Support (Client APIs)* C client and server -- reimplementation in C of both client and daemon.* Perl client -- What you need for both Perl workers to callers.* Perl async client -- Async caller client for running in event loops.
