JTrac project is a generic issue-tracking web-application that can be easily customized by adding custom fields and drop-downs.
Features include customizable workflow, field level permissions, e-mail integration, file attachments and a detailed history view.
Easy to Install
JTrac uses Hibernate and so it can support any database. Any servlet version 2.4 compliant container such as Apache Tomcat 5.5.X is sufficient to run JTrac. JTrac requires Java 5.0 but has minimal installation requirements otherwise.
One of the useful features of JTrac is that it is distributed as a WAR file and you can be up and running by just deploying the WAR file. The JTrac web-application checks the environment on startup and if a configured database is not detected, HSQLDB is used by default. This means that you can easily evaluate JTrac - just drop the WAR file int
