Bftpd program is an open source, fast, easy to use, small and easy to configure FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server for Linux-based operating systems. It’s designed to be very secure.Bftpd offers support for most RFC FTP commands, on-the-fly compression and archiving support using the tar.gz format, strong security with chroot (no special setup is required), and support for SITE CHOWN/CHMOD.In addition, the FTP daemon doesn’t need files like in a chroot environment, logs its actions to wtmp, to syslog, or to a custom log file, and provides support for PAM and passwd/shadow passwords.
